Schwyz
Schwyz, fascinating in both summer and winter.

The small town of Schwyz, the capital of the canton of the same name in Central Switzerland, houses important founding charters of the Swiss Confederation. Schwyz is also the home of the famous Swiss Army Knife. The beautiful village square and a diverse number of restaurants render Schwyz ideal for lingering and relaxing.
The impressive mountain peaks of the two Mythen, situated directly above Schwyz, are more than simply a landmark.

In summer the Mythen region is a hiker’s paradise, also for families, with suitable hiking trails for young and old alike. Particularly refreshing after a hike is a swim in one of the lakes nearby. An excursion to the village center of Schwyz, with the parish church of St. Martin, the historic town hall, museums and the numerous sacral and secular buildings, is simply a must.

Schwyz in winter is just as magnificent, with a variety of winter walking trails and numerous possibilities for downhill and cross-country skiing. The Mythen region, as well as Stoos and Sattel-Hochstuckli, are all winter sport areas that can be reached quickly and conveniently.
